Foam is more than just bubbles blown into some sort of polystyrene medium. Okay, that’s exactly what foam is. But in this case, this foam works like something else. It acts as a barrier between the dust trap and the exhaust, preventing bits of stuff you don’t want back on your floor from escaping. Best of all, these are washable and reusable. So every two to four weeks (depending on use), pop the filter out, rinse it with cool water and let it air dry. Just like that, it’s ready to go. Do a complete change every four to six months for maximum efficiency.
