It’s an unfortunate fact of life that batteries eventually die. Even rechargeable ones eventually lose their ability to hold a charge as they build up a memory of residual charges. Still, replacement batteries aren’t going to last long without a little know-how. If you want your rechargeable battery to last as long as it can, there are a few things you can do. First, when you get it, charge it completely. Then use it until it dies. Then recharge it completely. Do this cycle three times. Every six charges, drain the battery completely and fully recharge it. This will help reduce the memory effect that reduces the overall battery life.
